ADAPT is an organization advocating for a national attendant services program of home and community based services.

Administration on Aging (AoA)

AoA is the Federal focal point and advocate agency for older persons and their concerns. In this role, AoA works to heighten awareness among other Federal agencies, organizations, groups, and the public about the valuable contributions that older Americans make to the Nation and alerts them to the needs of vulnerable older people. AoA is part of the United States Department of Health and Human Services.

Association of Programs for Rural Independent Living (APRIL)

The Association of Programs for Rural Independent Living (APRIL) is a national grass roots, consumer controlled, nonprofit membership organization consisting of centers for independent living, their satellites and branch offices, statewide independent living councils, other organizations and individuals concerned with the independent living issues of people with disabilities living in rural America.

Center for Housing and New Community Economics (CHANCE)

CHANCE is a program of the Institute on Disability, a University Program of Excellence, at the University of New Hampshire.  They have lots of resources on housing for persons with disabilities.

Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)

This is an agency within the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services which has information on Medicare, Medicaid and SCHIP.

Center for Self-Determination (CSD)

The Center for Self-Determination is an interactive working collaborative of individuals and organizations committed to the principles of self-determination. The purpose of the collaborative is to change the nature of the support and service system for individuals with disabilities, using the principles of self-determination to help all persons create the lives they want, connected to and with their communities. Hosted by Community Living Services of Wayne County, Michigan, the Center is composed of two inter-related initiatives: a grassroots movement to promote the principles of self-determination across the country and a training and technical assistance center.

Center for Universal Design (CUD)

The Center for Universal Design (CUD) was formerly the Center for Accessible Housing. CUD provides information on universal designing environments and products, accessible housing, and conducts research to test ideas. They provide training for designers and others in the building industry; offer technical assistance to families, companies, and agencies; and develop training for therapists, family members, and people with disabilities. CUD is building a nationwide Accessible Housing Design Advisory Network of individuals with disabilities, their families, or friends to allow the Center's designers and researchers to solicit opinions, review ideas, evaluate training programs, and test housing or product designs.

Center on Disability and Community Inclusion (CDCI)

The Center on Disability and Community Inclusion, in collaboration and coordination with individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, and communities, promote opportunities for life outcomes for individuals with disabilities of all ages, in all facets of community life (i.e., meaningful relationships, personal choice and control, meaningful activities, safety and health, and living in a home and community).
